Overview
Handling time, also known as fulfillment latency in Omnivore, is the period between when a customer places an order and when you hand it over to your carrier. This duration is factored into Amazon's estimated delivery time displayed to customers.
Amazon uses the following to define your delivery time:
Total delivery time = handling time + transit time (+ any weekends and public holidays in Australia)
For more information, see Amazon's article here
By default, Amazon allows 1-2 days for you to ship your orders. If you need to extend the handling time, you can do this in Omnivore.
Amazon also require that you set up Transit Time. This is done via your Amazon Shipping Settings. More information can be found here.
Site-Wide Handling Time
To set a default handling time for all products:
Navigate to Settings > Amazon Australia > General in Omnivore.
Locate the Fulfillment Latency field under the Your Products section.
Enter the desired number of days for handling time.
Click Update Settings.
Go to the Dashboard and click Upload to Amazon to apply the changes.

Product-Level Handling Time
To set a specific handling time for individual products:
Log in to Omnivore and navigate to Products > Amazon > Marketplace Attributes.
Scroll horizontally to find the Fulfillment Latency field.
Enter the desired number of days as an integer (e.g., 5 for five days). Do not include the word "days" or any other text.
This value will override the site-wide setting for this particular product.
For Shopify and Magento users, you can import and map this field in Omnivore under Feeds > Map Fields, provided the attribute / metafield is created in your eCommerce store first.

Important Notes
Ensure that the handling time set in Omnivore aligns with your actual processing capabilities to maintain accurate delivery estimates for customers.
Regularly review and update your handling time settings in Omnivore to reflect any changes in your order processing times.
