Overview


The order cancellation process for Amazon is manual which means you have to cancel/refund it directly in Amazon then in Omnivore and your eCommerce Store.  


In Amazon you can only cancel an unshipped order. If the order is shipped it has be refunded.  These two Amazon articles will help:

Any changes you make to the order in Amazon to do with cancelling or refunds will not be updated or flow through to Omnivore.


Steps in Amazon


  1. Log into Amazon, Manage Orders, locate the order and click cancel or refund depending on which process you are following.
  2. Follow the Amazon process to cancel and if necessary refund the order.
  3. Note, you can do partial refunds in Amazon.  Use the above Amazon FAQ as a guide.


Note:  it is best to use the Amazon process as you normally would to cancel/refund an order, this change does not flow in Omnivore.


Steps in Omnivore and eCommerce Store


  1. Log into Omnivore and navigate to Orders - All Orders and search for the one you have cancelled.
  2. Click the Refunded Online button at the top of the order page.
  3. This will mark it as Refunded in Omnivore but will not update the order in your eCommerce Store.
  4. Locate the order in your eCommerce Store and complete the cancellation as per the normal process for your eCommerce Platform.


Note:  Omnivore does not update your eCommerce Store.  This is a 3 step manual process.
